This is what you will do

As a production worker, you will be responsible for the ginger and garlic production process. The products arrive in large boxes that are placed by forklift drivers at the right location in the production department. The ambient temperature is the same as the outside temperature. In short, it can be cold in winter and hot in summer, but because you are on the move, you don't really notice it. The incoming products are then first washed in the washing station (can be wet there) where the incoming boxes are emptied by hand. After washing, the products are dried and then taken to a conveyor belt where the products are placed in crates where they are prepared for transport. Depending on your physical capabilities, you will be placed in one of the two departments. Some of the daily tasks:
Washing station
Operating machines and troubleshooting minor malfunctions if necessary
Emptying 13 kg boxes in the washing line
Filling 13 kg crates with the washed products
Keeping the workplace tidy
Packing
Performing quality checks
Sorting and filling products into crates
Cutting ginger into smaller pieces (only in harvest season)
Weighing and placing crates on pallets
Keeping the workplace tidy
This is a full-time position of 38 hours per week where you will work from Monday to Friday. Working hours are from 07:30 to 16:30.

You bring this

You preferably have experience in a similar position
You are willing to follow hygiene rules
Driving licence will be an advantage
Speaking Dutch or English will be an advantage but is not required

This is where you end up

As a production worker, you will join a company that is specialized in preparing and transporting ginger and garlic. They receive the products mainly from suppliers outside Europe, but they also harvest their own ginger which is prepared for harvest in their production department.

A gross hourly wage of €13.27, depending on age and collective labour agreement
